My name is Indigo Adobea Abena Joy Quashie (They/them). I am a queer Black person from the Southside of Chicago who has pursued a creative lifestyle for the past 15 years. I graduated from Ohio's College of Wooster with a Bachelor of Arts in 2021, majoring in Studio Art and minoring in Adolescent Education. With various experiences in editorial, painting, digital art, photography, and more, I enjoy centering my work around the connections between art and human experiences.
My most recent project was contracting with Chicago Public Art Group as their Community Engagement & Arts Advocacy Fellow. I've also begun voice acting!!
I desire to work with people who want to foster community & love. Those who support the wellness and liberty of marginalized people, separating human rights from politics.
Most of all, I want to contribute to change.
